This week a winner is crowned. I can’t remember all the way back to the beginning but I definitely find myself satisfied with the two crews that remain. 15 million votes (apparently it’s very close) were cast to decide the winners. All the crews are brought in and do a little move as their intro, nothing fancy. It’s strange to realize how many people there are while having so few actual crews.
I think the reason I don’t like this show as much as SYTYCD because you don’t get to know the competitors. They give you small bits about each crew but there are just to many people to really remember the majority of their names. Even the judges, when they address specific contestants, always seemed unsure if they were actually addressing them by the correct name.
Each of the regions will perform in one big performance together.
Part one of the show is seeing the West Coast performing together. There’s Heavy Impact, Hype 5-0, and Poreotix. Omarion informs them that they will be performing to Kesha’s “Blah Blah Blah.” It’s a pretty good performance but with so many people on such a small stage it was a little difficult to keep track of everyone.
Next comes the East featuring Blue Print Cru, Static Noyze, This does force the Saltare crew to actually dance. Lil Mama is their representative judge. I can’t tell if there were some mistakes here…Not as good of a performance, it seemed messy.
Finally the South with Jungle Boogie, Swagger Crew, and Royal Flush perform. This performance wasn’t so great, it felt very repetitive which might be due to the repetitive song.
Cool news though, the champions of all the seasons will have come back next week to perform.
Performance with the finalists together. It’s got a marching band theme to it. It’s pretty cool. They do step which I appreciate. Blue Print had the harder piece and they were a little off but even so.
The coaches praise each of the crews.
And the winner is…POREOTIX. As expected.
